Robotics and STEM Education: New Connections and New Opportunities

Description: This session will describe the new educational robotics curriculum being developed at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, in collaboration with the Peter Kiewit Institute, and funded the National Science Foundation. The curriculum is focused on the integration of multi-disciplinary lessons and skills compatible with current research on 21st Century Skills and various NSF initiatives. The session will highlight examples of the new curriculum lessons and resources, a new educational robotics platform developed by the University of Nebraska, and opportunities for teachers and schools to become involved with the project if interested.
