Future City Competition: Building Tomorrows Cities Today -Gr. 7 & 8.

Description: The National Engineers Week Future City Competition requires: problem-solving, team work, research and presentation skills, practical math and science applications, and computer skills. This session will provide an overview of the program including: short video highlights, examples of student created cities of the future, guidelines for participation, and web sites to support this years research topic, “Creating a self-sufficient system within the home which conserves, recycles, and reuses all existing water sources.” This presentation will conclude with an annotated comprehensive objective checklist in math, computer science, science, social studies, language arts, and art.
